Values at AdeptID

At AdeptID, we believe everyone is adept and that our technology can help get more people into better jobs, faster. To execute on our ambitious goals, we incorporate our five values into everyday work life and reflect on these values on a weekly basis. Each Friday afternoon, everyone shares a value (or values) that a team member exemplified that week. This meeting provides the opportunity to discuss our company values (and remember what they are) as we show gratitude to one another.  

Our values are focused on creating an inclusive, supportive, and empowering work environment. During our Summer Offsite, we spent time discussing our values and how to better demonstrate them on a daily basis. Each of our values, which you can read below, has an implication for our internal and external work.

1. Everyone is Adept

   • Team: We all have ways we can contribute. It’s all of our job to find and bring out these strengths in one another (including creating an inclusive environment where different types of people can thrive).

   • Product & Society: Our models find & empower hidden talent, promoting a richer understanding of how all people are adept. Our API-first approach allows everyone to access the same best-in-class matching capabilities.

2. Individual Choice & Agency

   • Team: We respect one another’s choices about how we get work done and how we integrate our personal lives.

   • Product & Society: We leave space for individuals to define what success looks like for their careers and lives.

3. Continuous Learning & Innovation

   • Team: We ask and tackle big questions, look for answers in unlikely places, and make time to daily learn new things.

   • Product & Society: Our models are always learning and improving, in order to enable individuals and organizations in their own journeys of imagining better futures and reaching their full potential.

4. Delight

   • Team: We enjoy our work and each other.

   • Product & Society: We seek to deliver delightful experiences to our partners, customers and stakeholders.

5. Integrity & Excellence

   • Team: Within the flow of our work and interactions with one another, we produce excellent work in an excellent way.

   • Product & Society: We put people & mission first, and actively mitigate potential misuses & bias in our technology. We deliver excellent, high-quality work.

We believe that values only work if they are also habits; and AdeptID is continuously finding ways to incorporate our values into our daily work as well as our product.
